Bienvenidos a tercer grado

Welcome to 3rd grade Dual Immersion! I am Srta. González and I have been at Washington Elementary School since 2013. I began teaching kindergarten, then taught 5 years in first grade, and have been in third grade ever since.

As a child, I grew up speaking Spanish at home and attended a school where Spanish was the first language we learned in the classroom. I learned at a young age the importance of being biliterate and bicultural. I am excited to work with you and be a part of your child’s learning experience as they too become biliterate and bicultural.

I attended California State University, Long Beach, where I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies and multiple subject teaching credential with a BCLAD in 2011. In 2013, I also received my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on elementary education from CSULB. I also received a certificate for Dual Language Literacy from California State University, San Diego in 2017.
