American Heart Association - Kids Heart Challenge

Our school has started the Kids Heart Challenge (previously known as Jump Rope for Heart) with the American Heart Association, joining all other Redondo schools in this district-wide effort. This community service program teaches our students how to have HAPPY and HEALTHY hearts, challenging them to make a health pledge online and encouraging students to raise lifesaving donations to help fund CPR trainings and critical research to help local families with special hearts.

Get started by downloading our APP called Kids Heart Challenge for iPhone and Android OR go online at www2.heart.org/goto/washingtonrb. You can earn a glow in the dark members-only wristband just for registering, which we want 100% of our students to do before our event!

  • Kids Heart Challenge Event Day: May 6th

School Goal: Raise $15,000 in life-saving donations!

  • Top participating class gets popcorn and a movie with Ms. Bittick and Mr. Estrada
  • Exceeding the school goal of $10,000 will result in a Pajama Day for all students
  • $50 Save a Life/T-Shirt Club: $50 to AHA allows us to certify someone in CPR and in turn save a life! Students that raise $50+ and earn this year’s KHC T-shirt will be part of the “Save A Life” club!

Thank you for your support and for keeping our school heart healthy!
