This year Mrs. Pennings is proud to call Washington home!  As a Redondo Beach naitive and RUHS, Parras, and Tulita alum she is proud to give back to the community that she loves!  She has been in education for 17 years but has been a credentialed teacher for 10 amazing years. After graduating with a BA in English from Chico state she went on to attain her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Education Specialist Credential, and a Masters Degree in Special Education from CSUDH.  She began her career in Hawthorne where she taught as a Reading Intervention teacher for grades K-5, a Special Day Class teacher for grades 3, 4, and 5, and she also taught 3rd grade. In her free time she loves to do yoga, ride her bike on the strand, and spend time with her husband, Logan, and her two boys Satchel (5) and Fletcher (2).  Her motto is "Choose happiness!"
