Bienvenidos a tercer grado

Welcome to 3rd grade Dual Immersion! I am Sra. González and I have been at Washington Elementary School since 2013. I began teaching kindergarten, then taught five years in first grade, and have been in third grade ever since.

As a child, I grew up speaking Spanish at home and attended a school where Spanish was the first language we learned in the classroom. I learned at a young age the importance of being biliterate and bicultural. I am excited to work with you and be a part of your child’s learning experience as they too become biliterate and bicultural.

One of my goals this year is to continue to foster a love for learning in your child while working on skills, such as critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and their ability to persevere through challenges. I also strive to create a safe space for your child where they can feel comfortable, be themselves, be happy, and take risks without judgement.

I am excited to work with you and be a part of your child’s education this school year!
