Mr. Estrada
Hello Explorers!
I am excited to be a part of the Explorer family as the Assistant Principal here at Washington. This community has a special place in my heart because of relationships I built with your families during my time as a teacher next door at Adams Middle School. Washington provides an educational experience that addresses the needs of the whole child. I am honored to be a part of a school where students are challenged and engaged in the classroom by our amazing teachers and are connected to their school through our various enrichment opportunities. I am a life-long learner who believes that learning is continual and doesn’t stop at the doors of the school.
Prior to joining Washington, I was a teacher at Adams Middle School for six years; five years as a social science teacher and one year as the Teacher on Special Assignment/Title I Coordinator. I received my bachelor’s degree in sociology from UC Santa Barbara while being a student-athlete on the baseball team. I received my master’s degree in educational administration from Long Beach State University and someday would like to pursue my doctorate degree in education!
When I am not at work, you will find me at Dodgers games, golfing, running around with my two sons, and spending time with my amazing wife, Katie.
