Mrs. Laster - First Grade, room 5

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself.  I was born and raised in West Torrance.  After graduating from Bishop Montgomery High School, I attended Penn State University in Pennsylvania and Les Roches University in Switzerland.  I then came back to California to start my career.  I love teaching; it truly is one of the passions in my life.  I feel absolutely blessed to be a part of Washington Elementary School and the Redondo Beach Unified community and family.

Having much first hand knowledge from my own family’s support system, I strongly believe that a student’s success in school is directly related to parental support.  Parent involvement in a student’s education is extremely important.  Experience has taught me that children receive the best education possible when the parent and teacher work as a team.  When we work together we can accomplish amazing things.
